Thruway Authority Announces Pavement Project Near Interchange 43 (Manchester) to Necessitate Lane Closures
Motorists May Experience Moderate Delays

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that a pavement repair project near Interchange 43 (Manchester) will necessitate daily lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on Tuesday, August 19 and Wednesday, August 20, 2008, weather permitting.

Motorists may experience moderate traffic delays in both directions during this project. Moderate delays means that motorists' travel times could be delayed 5 to 20 minutes longer than the normal time.

The right eastbound lane from milepost 341.4 to 340.3 will be closed for repairs on Tuesday, August 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The right westbound lane from milepost 339.3 to 339.9 will be closed for repairs on Wednesday, August 20 from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be set up to inform motorists of the work and any delays that may result.

The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding while this important improvement project takes place.
