Thruway Authority Announces Lane Closure between Interchanges 39 and 40

The New York State Thruway Authority announces that the right westbound lane between Interchanges 39 (State Fair) and 40 (Weedsport) has been temporarily closed due to a fatal accident.

Emergency crews are on the scene and the lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions permit.

Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) have been activated to inform motorists of the lane closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this incident.
