The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that antenna replacement work at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier located on I-87, at milepost 24.31, will necessitate northbound lane closures beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, until 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008.

Weather permitting, at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, a double lane closure will be in place in the northbound direction at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier. All three northbound lanes will then be closed beginning at 11:00 p.m.  It is anticipated that the lane closures will last until 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 16.  During the closures, all traffic will be diverted through the Spring Valley Toll Plaza.

In case of inclement weather, the antenna replacement work will be performed on Thursday, October 16 during the same timeframe as outlined above.

Motorists are advised that passenger cars are not required to pay tolls at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier.

The Authority will activate its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to notify motorists of the closure.
