Thruway Authority Announces Toll Lane Closures Required as Part of Woodbury Highway Speed E-ZPass Project
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that two southbound toll lanes will be closed for reconstruction at the Woodbury Toll Plaza beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. This work is being done as part of the Woodbury Highway Speed E-ZPass project.
Weather permitting, southbound lanes 3 and 4 are scheduled to be closed at approximately 9 a.m. Lane 1 will be reopened and will serve as an additional wide load lane. It is anticipated that the reconstruction work on lanes 3 and 4 will be completed by Friday, November 14.
The Authority will activate its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to notify motorists of the closure.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding while this essential work takes place.
