Thruway Authority Announces Pavement Marking Project on Grand Island
Motorists May Experience Moderate Delays
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that there will be lane reductions for pavement marking on the I-190 northbound and southbound on Grand Island, between the North Grand Island Bridge Toll Plaza, Exit 17 River Road and the South Grand Island Bridge Toll Plaza, Exit 20, West River Parkway.
This pavement marking may cause moderate delays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Thursday, October 23 to Friday, October 24, 2008, weather permitting.
During the work, traffic will be reduced to a single lane with all I-190 northbound and southbound ramps on Grand Island remaining open.
The Authority will activate its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to advise motorists of the lane reductions.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding as this pavement marking takes place.
