Traffic Alert: Thruway Authority Announces Truck Accident Along I-90 Westbound
All Lanes Blocked Near Interchange 26 (Schenectady I-890 & Route 5S)

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that due to a rollover truck accident along I-90 westbound, at milepost 162.2 near Interchange 26, all westbound lanes are blocked.

At this time, westbound traffic along I-90 is being diverted off the Thruway at Interchange 26. All westbound Tandem Tractor Trailers must exit at Interchange 25A (Schenectady – Binghamton I-88). All eastbound lanes are open.

State Police and Authority Maintenance Crews are on the scene at this time.

Lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.

The Authority has activated a Dynamic Message Board and has issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to notify them of the incident and resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
