Thruway Authority Announces I-84 Reopened Pennsylvania Motorists Remain Affected
The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that all lanes along Route I-84 in New York are open, but delays still exist in the state of Pennsylvania.
I-84 eastbound in New York had been closed between Exit 1 (Port Jervis) and Exit 2 (Mountain Road) due to two tractor trailers being stuck.
The Authority has been notified by Pennsylvania authorities that I-84 in Pennsylvania remains closed between Exits 46 and 43 due to winter weather conditions. Exit 46 is the second exit along I-84 once you exit New York and enter Pennsylvania.
The Authority offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major unscheduled incidents that may affect their travel on the Thruway. To sign up for TRANSalert service, customers can visit the Authority's website at www.nysthruway.gov/tas/.
